Check out our interview with Sybarite magazine which includes some business advice for any budding entrepreneurs!

Here is a little sneak preview to whet your appetite...

"When asked if they had any advice for any budding entrepreneurs, Gin related or not, the Young in Spirit ladies said that the best advice they can give is to just ‘go out and do it, and think about it later’ because if you think about it and all the factors that you may have to take into consideration, then you will become overwhelmed and not want to even start. The second stand out point of advice the ladies gave was to get rid of anyone negative from your circle, anyone who says that you can’t achieve what you are striving for or shows any sign of jealousy and to only surround yourself with positive people. Camilla and Liz knew their families and friends were completely backing Young in Spirit and CollaGin when they weren’t questioned about leaving their safe jobs in PR to set up a new business.

Having a business mentor is crucial, and Young in Spirit’s mentor Mike Green – who has been featured on Channel 4’s Secret Millionaire, claims that once you have become an entrepreneur and worked for yourself, you will find it impossible to go back to working for someone else."

  • CollaGin Tasting Notes

    Tasting notes

Several people ask us for our tasting notes, so we thought this nifty little graphic would help sum up the CollaGin dream. Also, Gin Festival describes us as:

CollaGin opens with bright citrus on the nose, notably lemon and candied orange peel and faint notes of spice. This continues and develops on the palate, ending with a soft, short and dry finish.

    If you love smooth, velvety gins with notes of citrus and vanilla then CollaGin is for you. You can pick up your bottle here;

  • World Gin Day

It has been a pretty mad year so far. CollaGin launched in March 2017 but I (Co-Founder Liz) was also on a big countdown to a particular day soon after our launch: my wedding day.

In between ordering labels, bottles, lids and gin, I was also ordering wedding flowers, bridesmaid dresses, wedding shoes, decorations and of course a wedding dress. My world was becoming very busy and my mind was full to capacity. The thought of doing anything more before the big day was very overwhelming and fuelled a growing sense of anxiety. But...

Our gin journey has been so crazy that of course I couldn't prevent anything else happening in the countdown. In fact, 'ginmin' got even busier in the build up to the wedding because we were actually getting married on World Gin Day - 10 June 2017. This made the wedding even more special. A fate I had never predicted and one that made the day even more heartwarming.

CollaGin really is my life now. I think about it every day and check emails and social media just before bed and first thing in the morning. I celebrate every single order and beat myself up with every mistake or set back. I even sneak off during parties to repost, like, favourite and share pictures to keep our CollaGin squad up to date. So to get married on World Gin Day, combining my two worlds of gin and my soon to be husband, did seem very appropriate.

What was made even more special was that my Co Founder Cam attended and went above and beyond the asks of a business partner to man a VERY busy rose gold CollaGin bar to a crowd of friends and family who were desperate to try it. I took a moment in between doing my bridal socialising to step back and just look at what on earth was going on in the marquee to try to take it all in. To say I felt proud and emotional when I saw most of our 185 guests drinking CollaGin with a star anise or cinnamon stick bobbing up down in the tonic water's sparkling bubbles was an understatement.

It made me realise that not only had I actually done it: got married and survived the pressure and anxiety of organising a wedding (alone... not even my mum was allowed to intervene!) but I had also done it whilst creating something I was so proud of and for once I am immensely happy and motivated by the job I do.

If someone told me a year ago that I will have just launched my own gin brand and got married on the busiest day of a gin brand's calendar: World Gin Day, I would have laughed and not believed a word. But this proves to me that life can't be planned, is never ordinary and everyone should take every opportunity that comes their way. If doubt, lack of confidence or disbelief stopped me getting involved with CollaGin, I would never have witnessed my two immensely special worlds collide and feel what I felt on 10 June 2017. Say yes to everything your instinct agrees with and doubt nothing... absolutely nothing... about yourself and what you can achieve.

  • Sunday Times Style coverage

We have been very proud and humbled by the worldwide coverage for CollaGin. We knew we were creating a surprise and delight product but didn't realise quite how much we would be spoken about around the world.

There are many pieces of coverage that have made us jump up and down and squeal in disbelief when we see it, but appearing in the Sunday Times Syle Barometer in the 'Going Up' section is definitely a highlight.

  • Customer reviews

As a new gin on the market we really appreciate hearing your feedback. If you want to read other CollaGin drinkers before you buy, we have pulled a few from our Facebook page and Drink Supermarket here:

    Kathryn Spurr

"A beautiful flavoured gin which has a very delicate and subtle flavour. I have tried Collagin in both cocktails as well as using it to make Gin and Tonic ( using a variety of Fever Tree Tonic flavours) and can honestly say that Collagin and Fever Tree Tonic Water is a match made in heaven as both product flavours are so subtle that they are streets ahead of any others that I have ever tried. Thank you to Collagin and Fever Tree for producing top notch drinks and Drink Supermarket.com for stocking them."

    Annem Hobson

"Delicious gin, and beautiful bottle. Paired mine with strawberry and I think I've found my new summer drink of choice!"

    Danielle Murphy

"Oh my god this is delicious! I purchased it as a gimmick, I wasn't expecting it to be this good. The mix of botanicals works so well together giving it a really smooth finish. So easy to drink, my be a little too easy! And I love the bottle."

    Izzie Waterman

"This is amazing! And I can now safely say it's totally worth the hype! The yummy grapefruit notes, the subtle taste..if I looked younger the following day, that was just an added bonus."

    Kevin Brightman

"My wife was very pleased with the Gin."

  • Summer breeze, makes me feel fine

It is summer which means a perfect excuse to capture beautiful shots of our gin by a pool in the glorious Oxfordshire sunshine.

Our best serve is with a slice of pink grapefruit and 1724 tonic water, but when the sun is out, we fancy getting a little more creative. Try CollaGin in a martini, with a star anise or a cinnamon stick or it is smooth enough to have just on the rocks. Give it a try, everything tastes better in the sunshine during the Great British summer!

  • Meet the Makers

    Cam and Liz

"We found a good mentor, an even better financial director, then with the undoubting support from our partners we set off on our journey, accepting the obstacles and doing what we could to get around them. Our darkest days turned out to be our best."
